The Museum Folkwang is one of the most important art museums in Germany.

It owes its reputation to its outstanding collections of 19th century German and French painting and sculpture, various 20th century art movements such as Cubism, Abstract Art and Expressionism, as well as art after 1945, photography and graphic art. A special feature is the collection of works of old and non-European art as well as the collection of the German Poster Museum with over 350,000 sheets.

Regular large public and temporary exhibitions characterize the program of the museum, whose new building was designed by the famous architect David Chipperfield.

Free admission to the Museum Folkwang:

Admission to the Museum Folkwang's permanent collection is free. This also applies to all exhibitions in the Photographic Collection, the German Poster Museum and the Graphic Art Collection.
